Everyone goes through hard seasons. If you need food, a safe place to stay or simply someone to talk to, churches and Christian ministries across the country want to help. Asking is not a failure; it's how God's people care for one another.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1
If you need food
Search soup kitchens and food ministries near you, or tap 📍 Near me in the directory. Soup kitchens serve hot meals on site; food pantries give groceries to take home. Hours change often, so call ahead if a phone number is listed. Many local churches also keep a small pantry or can point you to one, even if it isn't listed.
If you need a place to stay
Rescue missions and organizations like the Salvation Army often provide emergency shelter, meals and recovery programs. Look for them under ministries and nonprofits. You can also dial 211 to reach a local helpline for housing, utilities and other assistance.
If you need someone to talk to
Call a church near you and ask to speak with a pastor. You don't have to be a member. Many churches offer free care ministries, recovery groups and referrals to Christian counselors.
If it's an emergency
If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988 any time. In an emergency, call 911.
You can also ask for prayer
Send us a prayer request. If you'd like, tell us where you live, and we'll suggest churches and ministries near you that could help.
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
